This lyric book for “Summer in the Hamptons” by Brooke Alexx — a song about how her parents fell in love. In response, I created a visual narrative about how my grandparents met, blending personal history with the mood of the music. The result is a dreamy, collage-style book that feels both intimate and timeless.

  The design combines beachy textures, hand-cut floral elements, and black-and-white family photos to evoke a sense of memory, warmth, and longing. Each spread reflects the tone of a lyric while weaving in visual cues from my grandparents’ story, pressed flower illustrations, vintage ephemera, and sun-washed color overlays. The collaged style creates a tactile, scrapbook-like experience, as if the viewer is flipping through a found object filled with stories. This project was a personal exploration of love, legacy, and visual storytelling, using design as a bridge between music and memory.
